Andrew, you are correct. The build showcase is currently the only forum that we are requiring moderator approval. When you post, you will see the post, but others will not, and as you say, it will show to the poster that it is hidden.

To elaborate: We have a team of people established to approve posts in the build showcase forum.

By setting up a team of moderators to approve posts in that forum, we are assuring timely approvals, and are able to effectively keep the build showcase on topic. The build showcase was formed to allow people to show off their builds. It was decided to implement the approval process due to the high number of off topic questions appearing in various build showcases.

We felt that questions were more appropriate in the build advice forum, and detracted from the ability to show off your build or your buggy pictures.

Thanks for the question Andrew.

Jay

Jerry, only JPG, PNG and GIF images are supported, so if the pictures are a different file type, you may need to convert them first.

It is possible the file is corrupt though.

What is the size (file size) of the image you are trying to upload?

If you can't get it to work, you can always register for an account at www.photobucket.com

Photobucket allows you to upload photos and link to them or embed them directly in your posts.

Hope this helps,
Jay

Rob, Yes, the pictures are automatically moved with the post. If you can give me an example of a post that you believe the images have not moved, I will be able to look into it.

In many situations, someone will post a link to a craigslist ad or to an Ebay ad. Once these particular ads have been removed from craigslist or from Ebay, then the pictures are gone forever.

IF someone posts something saying (as an example) "hey look st this Allison Daytona for sale" They link to it, but also physically grab the images from the craigslist or ebay ad and then "Attach" them to the post, then we will have pictures for future use/reference.

I *think* what you may be referring to is a post that has been moved, and is linked to an ad that is no longer active on either craigslist or ebay.

In these situations.... if the image hasn't been saved on someone's computer and "Attached" to the post, when I go through and look at the ads before I even move them, when I click on the ad, it brings me to a page that is no longer active. This is typically when I move and ad.

Best,
Jay
