Sandwinder RegistryA Sandwinder looks a lot like a Manx, except it has three raised panels on the hood.

| Body |
Body is made by JC Fiberglass and is the SandWinder style. It has the original gelcoat finish which is a slightly yellowed white basecoat with red and blue metal flake. It has not been painted and has no breaks or repairs.
|
| Frame |
This buggy is titled as a 1967 VW Beetle so I suppose this is what the shortened frame came off.
|
| Engine |
The engine started as a 1600cc dual port engine but has been bored out and has oversized jugs and a small cam. I'm not sure of the "cc" now. With the chrome dress up and headers, it runs, looks and sounds great.

I've only owned this buggy for a few weeks. It is driven several times per week, sometimes even to work. However, this winter I'll do some work to the seat, pan, and other miscellaneous items.

| Story |
I looked around for several weeks selecting 2 buggys to travel to look at, this being my second preference. It just worked out that I got to go look at this one first. Glad I did. The pictures in their ad just didn't do it justice. One look/drive and I was hooked.
