Manx SR and SR2 Registry

Now, the ultimate in road-going fun cars. Imagine the economy, compactness and maneuverability of the original famous Meyers Manx sports buggy combined with the sophisticated sleekness of European Gran Turismo styling. Well, that's the new Meyers Manx SR. It looks expensive, but not expensive to build. It's practical to own because weather protection (and all government safety code provisions) has been designed in so the car may be used year-round. Luggage space is provided in front under the hood , and inside, behind the seats. It's a custom sports car, at less than economy car prices. Please see the Manx SR site at http://www.manxsr.com/

Story Found on a Samba ad and was being listed on eBay. Convinced seller he couldn't do that - asking more for the eBay BIN than he was on the Samba. Drove to Georgia and back to PA in 32 hours to recover the vehicle. Paid way to much for what the car ultimately proved it was - a fiberglass body with a broken motor on a swiss cheese chassis. Seller said it was running perfectly and the chassis was solid except for 'a little rust' on the battery tray. Lots of time invested so far, and have acquired the hard top and hard side windows to go with it, though they are going to require some special attention to get to fit correctly!

Manx SR2 Registry

The SR2 is essentially the same as the original Meyers Manx SR, but was not produced by Meyers. SR2 indicates that it was produced by a company other than Meyers ( there were a number of companies that produced the car after Meyers)
