We have had this buggy for about 5 years now. The first few we did the get it running better work. Then came a set of used Crager ss rims. Then we cleaned it all up and chromed the engine and installed the neon. The last 2 years it has pretty much been neglected while waiting to get painted and re upholstered. I am hopin got get it out soon and maybe do one of the latter this summer.

I purchased this as an unassembled body and a rusted out 68 bug for the donor chassis. I stripped the bug to the I beam, installed fiberglass floors and fabricated the assembly one step at a time. Completing it to the point of driver in six months. June of 2007. I recieved a top 25 trophy at a WI show in June also. (2nd time out). It's been fun but a lot of work. I would sell it so I can complete my next project. Thanks

Tried rebuilding the carb, but, ended up it was also leaking out of the throttle shaft, so I had to replace it. Then found the ignition coil was shot, replaced that to. Now it starts with out hesitation or backfiring. However, while taking it out for a test drive the brake pedal went right to the floor and had to use the parking brake to stop. O well, just add it to the list.

| Story |
Picked up over the summer of 06 at the Hatboro Car Show. needs some tunning, the carb rebuilt, and some things to make it street legal (seat belts, etc). I have a third child on the way so the buggy may be off the road for a little longer then I first thought. I can't wait till its done and take the family out for a cruise!

1970 VW

| Story |
I am the proud owner of a 1970 Berry Mini T 2 which according to serial number is number 7 made that year. The story I was given by the owner is that she purchased the buggy new in 1970 from a dealer in Florida. The vehicle was made from a new 1970 VW Beetle and equipped with a cam and stroker kit along with many extras from a 1911-1914 model T.. The headlamps, tail lamps, inside mirror, radiator cap, side lamps and a few brass hardware items are all from the downer car. She informed that at the time VW's had been considered a toy more than a vehicle in the US and she purchased the converted VW for just a few thousand more than it would have cost for the Beetle. The tags on the side curtains and the interior had been custom made by a boat upholster in southern Florida.
The prior owner was married to a Doctor, she lived in Florida in the 1970's, moved to Brazil and lived there for a few years taking the Berry with her. She returned to the states at some point in the 1980's and her Berry came with her. Her and her husband moved to the Northern Pennsylvania area to retire in the early 90's and he died a few years later. When I purchased the vehicle about 12 years ago and it had 27,000 miles on the odometer. She has attempted to sell it for a very high price over a three or four year period of time but found few interested and fewer who could afford an expensive toy. She had electrical system problems, poor charging and due to age had difficulties getting in and out so she accepted my offer. The car is a van type Berry and is in very good condition considering that almost every part was original to her purchase in 1970. It is registered as a custom vehicle with the Berry Serial number.
I have added a couple of pictures taken last year. I had never seen one like this before and have been to many car shows without seeing another like it.
