For a while I have been scratching my head about the plastic inlet tube and air cleaner location for my 2.5 quad cam which has a remote air flow sensor in the plastic tube not on the manifold so the original tube must be retained, a while back I reversed the inlet manifold which stopped me from cutting the body for clearance which solved one problem but the air cleaner sits in a bad location well past the engine even thow I shortened the plastic tube which helped but it was still not good, I have now made some reverse/directional throttle body adapters which lines up the plastic tube and aircleaner much better--another headache solved

Here are some pic's of how the aircleaner sits and how it will sit after the adapter is fitted

Here the throttle body has unwanted stuff remove and a VW solex arm welded onto and exiting blade to eccept a standard throttle cable, the 'radius ' of the new arm is also matched to the solex carbi arm 'radius' so there is no mismatch between it and the standard gas foot pedal which I will be useing, I want to make sure I can obtain WOT :-)
