If you need to look up some information on your engines, the Subaru manuals are now available here:

I apologize for the formatting of the index page. It has not been easy to get all the pdf files indexed on one page.

I'm a little short on those years but I do have the pinouts for 90-94 Legacy, 1992 service manual and 1994 legacy wiring diagrams if that would be a help.
You did a execlant job there Paul and I hope you sticky these. Nobody knows the amount of work that went into this. A big, THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

WOW! That must have been a terrible amount of labor!
Found these ones on a Russian site, there may be a couple you already have but they're all in PDF, and in english.

Also, this info may be useful to some when picking an engine.
Years Subaru began the immobilizer antitheft systems in different models. I got this data second hand, so it may be not be completely accurate.

Subaru:
Forrester, Impreza, Legacy, & Outback: 2005 & up
Baja: only produced 2003 - 2005  no antitheft in any year.
Tribeca: started production 2006, all have antitheft.

Paul, would you like me to post the incomplete Subaru ECM spreadsheet somewhere? It could be of help to the community, and perhaps others could add some new ones to it.

Ha ha... Their word for "Subaru" is too close to "cheap" for my taste!  Thanks for the link though... I'll have to explore it a bit.

Hey Tom - I would love to post the ECM spreadsheet.  I may even put it into a Google Spreadsheet and we could share it so you could continue to make live updates as you come across additional info.  Do I have the latest copy in email? Paul...

Paul, That's all the ones I trust right there. If other members can confirm more it would be great for the whole community. Once it's more usable I had planned on making it a page on EngineWiring.com and giving Subaru more space. It'dbe great if we could both update it online. If a member here has access to cross reference software like the wrecking yards have it could grow extremely fast and we'd never have an ECM compatibility question again. Tom
PS: Canceled  the order for the parts I was waiting a month for and ordered from another source, what I had in shop was damaged.

Here's the link to Tom's document regarding what ECMs go with what Subaru models/years:

Just reply here if you have any info to add to it. We may have a bead on the 2002 WRX automatic since Jay was at the dealership today doing some research.

Hey, Tom - thanks a lot for putting this together!  I am sure this will not only help me out a ton, but will be great for the rest of the subbug community.
