http://mel-adjusted.zoints.com/ ![]() EDIT: Just clicked the link you added. Unfortunately, the situation is as you said... too many threads... that wasn't it I'm afraid. Back on my computer now, so I can add a link: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=271863&sid=325f74d0bc9a23aed1adf36c241ab423 The guy is also talking about having a reverse cut R&P done! I thought it might be pretty exciting news to anyone considering or wanting to use a scoobie gear box. Note to self [don't talk about a thread and fail to provide a link in the future] ![]() Jay ![]() On a similar note, the GT40 replica guys had a custom R&P gearset made up to go into the popular Audi 016 transaxle - this would lower the overall ratios so all 5 gears were really usable in their hi-torque V8 cars. Mass produced, the gearsets were running over $1200, not including installation. However, I believe the guy that initiated the custom R&P production dropped a bunch more money than that just to get them into production. Keep in mind, these guys start out with a $30-40K kit, without engine, drivetrain, wheels plus putting it together! Different league... Jeff Powered by mwForum 2.10.2 © 1999-2007 Markus Wichitill |
