Do you guys know if a Covair Powerglide transaxle can be used in a mid-engine setup? I know the Covair is a reverse rotation motor but that means the Powerglide pump(s) probably need to continue to run in the counterclock wise direction.

I think you'll have a rotation problem...  look into a Subaru SVX 2wd automatic..  very compact and take alot of power.

The reason I asked was I could get a Corvair transaxle, I've never ran across a Subaru 2wd automatic.
