EBAY   Item number: 230188825345
El Cajon, United States

George Barris T buggy custom  body. This is a rare Barris T body. I have looked for others like it for sale for a number of years that I have owned this and have not found any. I was told that only a hand full where actually made.  This body has a the model T Cab with rear doors that open. It has a Barris tag.  It is missing the radiator grille and the cowl lights. Has both rear repo T lights and both the original headlights. Also has a trunk lid inside the rear doors. The gold metal flake paint is faded and needs to be repainted. The original "Barris T" writting is still on both sides. There was a model of this car made back in the day and the model has been reissued due to its popularity. I show a copy of an original ad and a copy of the model so you can see pictures of the complete car. Bolts to a VW pan so I would not think it would be that hard to restore.  This auction is for the body as pictured.

Were there two different C cabs made? The picture Jerry attached doesn't have the cab roof to the box seam or the offset like the one John posted. Is Jerry photo a different C cab buggy manufacturer?

I thought all the Barris buggys had the arch in the bottom of the windshield.

I believe the buggy Jerry posted is a Berry Mini T and the first buggy is a creation of George Barris the famous custom car builder.  Notice the difference in the fenders.  I believe the Berry T like Jerry posted has the curved window/cowel and the Tuf Tub is like it only with straight windshield.

I would love to have that Barris car, way cool.

OH CRAP!!! I can not believe I missed out on this one. @#$% Thats like my holy grail.

Michael, Yes a Berry-T.
The Barris has a flatter appearance look at the fenders. He made a few different types.

There weren't any bidders. I'd use the "contact seller" feature to shoot them an email if I were you... Ask them something that won't violate ebay so you don't get your account locked. Something like, "Please call me if you intend to relist this, I would be interested in talking to you more about it, I'm at 555-5555." Normally the seller will get the hint and you can make a deal off-ebay.

Good luck! By the way, hows the SR coming along?
