![]() Here's what I think I did wrong. In my plan to remove "excess" from the engine, I thought I was removing the charcoal canister purge control solenoid. I think instead that this solenoid allows the MAP sensor to read both manifold and atmospheric pressure by alternating the solenoid back and forth. Well... I just have a MAP sensor plugged into the manifold now and its throwing a code. I have to locate the solenoid (was planning on using it as an idle control solenoid possibly) so first I have to find it. I also found this page that describes how it may be connected in a stock set up: http://wac.addr.com/auto/obs/boostnanny/boostnanny.html From these diagrams, it looks like there is a 3 port solenoid. When I find mine, I need to know which port hooks to where (map, manifold, filter, atmosphere?). I solved the last major code today which was a rear o2 heater malfunction. I've been working with Tom on a simulator for a rear O2. Well I hooked up just the heater portion of an O2 sensor (the rest was just zip tied to the rear cage), and the code has not reappeared. Thanks, Paul...
