Bought this (thunder bug?) when i was 16 years old with a rotted pan and 20 years of dirt and grime covering it. now 20 years later i have a running buggy and couldn't be more excited!

Welcome to the DBA. We're not very active anymore, but there are a few of us around. Your buggy does look like a Thunder Bug, but don't take my word for it, I'm far from an expert.
