Hello everyone I am Chris Peterson from Reno Nv. I feel I may have the find of the
year or century.
I was lucky enough to find a add for a buggy body on marketplace and after
making the deal I placed a post on The Samba . Com
One of the members was kind enough to send me info and some pics of it. I was sent the
pics of the article  and cover of the May 1970 copy of Road Test and
Dune Buggy, Pegasus Street Bug
The designer's are Dick Akkanda and Jim Miller, The Idea was to explore the commercial
possibilities of a VW based street car combining the lines of a dune buggy and
a Group 7 sports racing car.
So far nobody that I have contacted has seen one or has any  info on the buggy or the designer's so I am
putting it out there hopefully somebody has more info on the car or the Designer's
any help will be appreciated. As you can see in the pics of the body, It is missing the forward
bulkhead and maybe  the rear one so I assuming this body was never complected.
So it may have been the last one made. I would really like to find out how many were made and if 
Dick Akkanda and Jim Miller are still with us.
I plan on finishing this Buggy over the next year but I have to restore a 73 Super for my
wife first so just getting parts together now

Wow-that is quite the find, Chris!  Could you post the link to TheSamba.com thread?  I have seen another buggy styled after a group 7 in West Chicago a couple of years ago, but never stopped to get more information - I don't think it matched what you have here.

It isn't very often that you find such a great right up on a rare find link this - Well done. Paul...
