So, in my previous introduction I mentioned having bought a second buggy for parts. Well, that buggy started life out as a tube frame sand rail with integrated roll cage. The PO hacked the cage off, hacked up a really decent quality FG buggy body and mounted it to the rail. Rather than reconfigure the seats/steering column/pedals/shifter positions to make sense with the body, he hacked up the hood, added 8 in of length and cut off the dash. No firewall or footwell so every rack the tires kicked up hit the occupants in the face. No rear seat deck at all so nothing but dust in the passenger area. It was either pike the parts on the curb with a "FREE" sign or put it back together in a way that made sense. Hate to waste parts so... Five week build project last month. Never done this before but no time like the present for a first time.
