Can anyone help identify this type of dune buggy

Any chance this buggy is from Europe? I think I have seen a buggy like this in one of the Dune Buggy Handbooks from Veloce Publishing which features a lot of European designs. I recognize the circular indent on the front of the hood, but don't have a name to go with it. Paul...

That is a Deserter Series 1. produced by Autodymanics in Massachusetts.

That S1 looks pretty well equipped too. Full gages, turning brakes, that's the factory windshield that it would have come with as well as the roll hoop. Those big Dietz headlights too. I see what looks like the support frame for the top. Don't lose those.

I have the same model with similar equipment. In mid restoration. My thread here on the Archives.
