Not sure what the body is/was,  I just picked this jewel up on 4th of July weekend at a yard sale

The previous owner said he bought this in Arizona a few years ago.  Somebody put a LOT of time and money is this buggy.  Everything was done right and works nearly perfect.  It has a Ford Turbo 2.3L motor,  beefed up tranny, full cage, custom chassis, disc brakes, Porsche 930 cv's, on board air, skid plates, turn brakes and much more.   I've had numerious VW's and Bajas,  this is my 4th buggy.  my current Baja has a GM 3.1L V-6 for power.

It appears to be a Safari body,  it's the thickest body I've even seen on a buggy.

John, are the pictures of the Yellow one at the "gas station" in Ellensburg?  Looks like a place I stopped in to one time.  Good food if I remember correctly.

Yes it is, I think I even purchased a menu from them, and as I say, I remember it as good food.

No John, I live in Nampa Idaho.  My second wife had a friend up that way.  I also have family over toward Seattle.

ever gone to St. Anthony?  I've seen pictures, but never been there....   Might take the buggy there next summer.

Been by there, it looked like fun, but was headed up to take someone to visit their family from the Idaho State School and Hospital.   That was back in about 1998.   Life happens and things change.   I have project buggies, and a shop that has been used as storage for lots of stuff.  Sadly, buggies were not in it.    I have a project clone manta ray Kyote. a real Manta Ray Kyote by Dean Jeffries, and the one I really want to build.  A MAX, it is corvair based, made in California, and sold by Chevrolet dealers in that area with a 1 year warranty.   I have all the body, and the frame, with a rebuilt motor.   I hope I can get to it.

I know how the project thing goes.....   I just got this buggy and made a few minor changes so far,  I have my Baja that has a GM 3.1L V-6 that has been sitting for the last couple years, and a Chenowth chassis sand rail that i'm thinking about parting out.  I figure I can recover more parting it then selling it whole plus keep my paddles for the buggy.

Yes, I understand.   Parting out things sometimes makes better sense.   I have some other projects, and at 65, I have come to the realization that I will never get some of them done.  I have to simplify life.  I am wanting to go travel, and do not want to have a bunch of things that will never get done.  I also do not want to leave a bunch of stuff for the kids to deal with when I do shuffle off this mortal coil.  I saw what we had to go through when my Mom passed two years ago.   My plans at this time is to try to get the Max built, get my 50 International built the way I want.  Everything else will go on the block.  The other two dune buggy bodies/pans, the 67 Cougar GT, All extra vehicles, and even the shop.
Like I said, I want to travel. Hopefully my wife will want to also.  Keep home base here in Nampa, and go see people and places!
