I just picked this up last week and assumed it was not a Manx. As I begin to work on it I find some items that are "Manx" like. First item that says it is not a Manx is the hood with no bump. Otherwise, it has the battery and spare tire wells, ABS dash, metal dash frame that matches the Manx 1 frame. Under body glassed in tubes from front to back, and what looks like filled holes to the left of the rear cutout (Manx rear emblem area). Original color is a medium blue metallic gel coat. Any help would be great, the buggy ID tool only shows 4 buggies with ABS dash and none match mine. And info is greatly appreciated.

Congrats! It is published that some Manx bodies did not have the hood bump for the emblem, and the hood bump was one it the traits easily copied by other manufacturers. Knowing that.. for me, personally, the hood bump tells nothing.

At least you know what you have exactly.

Jay,
Thanks for the info on the hood bump. Bruce and Winnie are very thorough with their inspection and it really helps to have it there in person. I was just happy to own a buggy and now even happier to own a Manx.
