I am looking into purchasing my first Buggy. The one I am looking at is a 1977 on a 66 chassis has 27,000 original miles and is supposed to be an all original full body four seater and looks to be in near Mint condition. In your opinion, what is the fair asking price for something like this. It does have an Allison Daytona serial number tag on the drivers side dash having the numbers 175C7212276RS. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. I will try to post some pictures soon.

So many factors that go into valuing a buggy.
Does it run?
Does it shift?
Does it stop?
All electrical working?
Fuel system functional?
Tires all good?
Where you are located?
Title with car (if needed)?
That being said....that buggy could go for $2000-$8500 in my opinion.

Yeah you're right, I should have include a lot more data.
It does run, and runs really good
It shifts fine and has new clutch
All new brakes
All electrical is functional
Fuel system functional
Tires relatively new
Has a valid title
I am in Baton Rouge, La
The only thing original missing is the heater system.
On a side note:
**Are there any clubs, etc. for the Baton Rouge Area?
**Does anyone have any recommendations for a good VW Air-cooled mechanic in the Louisiana area?

Can't help you with info for the Louisiana info
If it is a stock motor I think it might be worth up to $5500-$6000 range.
Add in some additional for a better motor (ie: bigger displacement, dual carbs, custom exhaust, etc etc)
Most buggies do not have a heating system so it is not unusual for it to be removed.
