Cannot find out who made this!!
Guy at storage area said it was an Allison long wheelbase one but I cannot match it to any Allison picture!! Really want to buy it but I should know what I am getting! Any help?? ![]() ![]() ![]()
This looks like a Road Runner, later changed to Fun Runner. It has the classic Low Side Entry that was pretty much attributed to the Road Runner brand. It is a Manx wannabe but a very well built DuneBuggy. I don't remember the name of the hood. Need more photos of the dash and the rear up close.
Congratulations, you found a good one.
Thanks! Wants 4 grand as is.
What's up,with the motor, trans, pan etc.
Four grand is starting to get into the "id expect more than a classic body" money. You can be 10 large into it fast and not be done. Be Big, AMAC
Yeah 4k is to much. If it was me, I'd offer 2500, and go up to 2800-3000 max. Thats if it has a motor and it works. And if all lights blinkers brake lights work.
Thank, I thought so too but they are scarce out here!
You guys are right! Next!!
I agree, 4G is too much. I like the 2,500 figure if it is in good shape and is workable.
You know, I bought my Road Runner body kit, metal flake and all, less the windshield glass but included a glass turtle top in June 1968 for a total of $538.00. Brand New. Then we rented an enclosed U-Haul 5' x 10' trailer to tow from San Diego to Toledo, Ohio for $53.00. U-Haul won't talk to you today for $53.00. My, how the times have changed. Had to suspend the body of the buggy on it's side and diagonal in the trailer with clothesline rope. Had to stop every 200 miles or so to change the rope as the body would wear through it. John, don't give, and don't be afraid to drive some miles to get that little car of your dreams, they are out there. The time spent will be more than worth it as anyone who owns one can attest to.
Beside's, there is more fun looking then to quickly buy. You can dream of whats around the next corner. I live in S. Florida, and it took me 3 months to find a nice one.
Thank you so much!
Your words ring true and hit home.
Thanks Dave. Hopefully I will find one that I can enjoy before my patience and money run out!!
