Any ideas on where one might be able to find a way to have custom floor mats made?

Like literally with measurements, colors to match the body paint - maybe the embroidered year of the buggy in the floor mat itself.

Seems all the typical VW catalogs just offer "generic" mats.

Odds are you have a shop around you that does custom auto stuff.
This is a great country. Anytime I was willing to pay I got just what I wanted, lol.
Years ago I was restoring an old Trumpy Yacht and obviously everything missing needed to be done custom.

No matter how obscure a part I needed someone was willing to make it.

Carpets will be simple. Hit the local custom shops.

I want to make one for the drivers side of my buggy out of a piece of Alum diamond plate. The carpet on that side has been replaced and doesn't match the rest which is orgin bug carpet. I want the diamond plate dull. My buggy is not a show buggy so I want the dull look. I'm going to a show this weekend so I'm going to carry a piece of poster board and see if someone will let me trace a original floor mat so I can get made a sheet metal shop.
