Really nice buggy. I own one also and when I bought the kit in So Cal in mid 1968, these were called Road Runner.

Then Warner Bros (creators of the Road Runner cartoon) sued the manufacturer over the name of these buggies and in turn the name was changed to Dune Runner.

I too like the color and if it's the original metal flake, it's called Fuschia. Mine is still the original color but the hood is beginning to fade, so I'm hoping to repaint it this winter.

I chose this particular brand of buggy due to the handy Low Side Entry and the thickness of the glass. They called it their competition body back then. I know you will really enjoy it.

Well, today is goimg up near 80 degrees, so Momma and I will be taking the "Lil' Bugger" for probably it's last Fall Color Cruise we'll take this season. I wish I could drive it all year as in So Cal but we aren't afforded the luxury her in NW Ohio.

Thanks for the response and the history... that was great to hear! I did find that they were based in Westminster CA (about 40 miles west of me) .. enjoy the last warm days of the season!
