After a Major Heart Attack, Pacemaker, Defibrillator and then a blood disorder requiring blood transfusions every two weeks, I finally got the "Lil' Bugger" out and drove 'er up and down the drive and parking lot last evening for about a half hour. I can't explain how great it felt for this Old Fella to accomplish this. I've always told my doctors that this little car is better than any Health Insurance Policy ever written. I have to tweak the carb, install the rear bumper, license plates and few other things before I take it for a real drive, but she is running great. I really like that Rebel Wiring Harness.
I feel like a kid again. I was only 27 yrs old when I built it in 1968. 46 years later and I feel like 27 again. Just in time for some Fall Color Tours with Momma.
Thanks for listening to me toot my horn (actually Meep-Meep, since it's an original Road Runner).

THAT IS GREAT!
Now you make my guiltiness a bit greater for my buggy setting in pieces in the yard.
But family on goings are keeping my buggy form budging.
I hope when it gets about 20degs cooler out and the sons family is moved into their own place I will start on the fiberglass repair.
Your Lil Bugger will hopefully add to my inspiration.

Ron, you know, these little Fun Rides not only give the pleasure of driving them, but other folks love to see them on the road. It's fun just to watch their faces and listen to their comments when you're out in the buggy. And it's interesting that you can park in any local Wal-Mart or Grocery Store and no one ever violates that little car. Never understood that.
Have fun just knowing you're going to get it on the road eventually, even if it's one piece at a time.

The Lil' Bugger" in definitely "On the Road Again", finally. Had to have the carb base replaced due to some stripped threads in the Idle Jet seat. Also had to replace the choke and tweak the carb out. Now Running great and looking decent again, 46 years after it's initial build. Can't tell you enough how much this means to have this little car back on the road sporting a fully chromed-Out rebuilt engine .
Now Momma and I, married 53 years, can do some Fall Color Cruisin' just in time.
