I had someone e-mail me yesterday asking me to ID what I thought was a Kellison Pickup body.  When I read    an old kellison ad, it states the body is a one piece tub style, like most other buggies.  However, this particular body in question is 2 pieces.  one section bolts to the chassis and consists of all four vertical sides.  the second piece is the hood, side rails, tail area, etc.   Has anyone heard of a 2 piece body like this?  at first I thought it was chopjob, but the cut sare clean and flanged in the rear...would appreciate your input.

I had the same body...it was a "tub" that bolted to the VW floor pan and then the body went over that and was bolted together.

Something like this?

No...the tail was smooth and did not have the Kellison name molded in.

That's something...never knew that existed...
How sturdy was it when all bolted together?

It was actually quite sturdy...much more so than my paper-thin Sandwinder...but not as nice as my Ocelot.
