My dad built this buggy around 1970. He shortened the wheel base of a Corvair 95 van and made the body from metal panels. He used to work for a company that built metal bodies for utility trucks. The fenders are actually side box lids from a utility body. It has an early van engine (95hp) with the engine cover and rear inner fenders and the van dip-stick out the rear door. The dash is out of the Corvair 95 van and auto trans. The steering wheed was made from the original van wheel that he reduced the circumference. Here are some pictures of me driving it back in my teens.
