I just want to thank fellow DBA'er ManxCraig for giving me this old photo and sales literature. Until now, the only thing us fellow Sportsman owners could find on the internet about our buggy's were our own posts. The father of a good friend of ManxCraig's sold and built Sportmans at his bodyshop in Anderson, In. in the late 60's and early '70s. Here's a photo of the shop with a row of Sportsman's and I'll post the sale literature real soon.

There is a documented one right now for sale on the Samba, it has id embedded in the fiberglass (above cylinder 3) http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=1554168
