Hi and thanks for a great resource. I have always wanted to own a Dune Buggy. I found a fixer upper and am having a great time. After digging in a little, I think I stumbled on a Manx. Everything fits in the descriptors including the smooth hood with the logo bump, battery and tire sump in the back, rear license plate area, and support brackets. The only thing it does not have is the support tubes running under the fenders. Could this have been an omission at the factory?

The dash is wrong or it's been modified. Looks like it's made of metal in the pictures.
The tubes should be there but I think the Manx II didn't have them. If it's a Manx II it should have an ID plate between the battery and spare tire well. I can see in the second picture that it looks like it's never been there or the holes are filled in.

The dash has been replaced - soon to be replaced again, hopefully with a Manx ABS. It does have cut steel tubes glassed in intermittently to run the wires on the drivers side.
Here are some better pics.
Any help would be appreciated. At this point it doesn't matter if it is a Manx or not, I am really enjoying this body style. I just hope the window, roll bar, dash, and vented side pods from Manx will fit.

Did you ever determine whether your buggy was a Meyers Manx ??
