I have a very small dashboard that won't allow me to put in a radio. I have two ideas, the first is the attach a bracket under the dash that would hold the radio and it could fold up under the dash when not in use. The other idea is to find something small that I can attach my ipod to. Any suggestions?

Use an MP3 player.

I used a Pyle PLMPA35 2 Channel 300 Watt Mini Amplifier with 3.5mm Input and plug my iphone to it.  Mounted it just behnd the driver seat becasue the volume control is on the amp.
Together with the line out/charger cable i spent less then $50 through Amazon and it works great.

I use a cheap 200 watt amp and an mp3 player.

The price is right and your idea of mounting it behind the drivers seat is great. I am going to mount one under my seat.
