Very rare, authentic Meyers Manx Dune Buggy. Street Legal with current registration. Always garage kept and maintained by the same owner for over 30 years.
The buggy was built on a 1959 VW chassis with king-pin front suspension. There is no rust anywhere. Upgrades have been done steadily over the years; including full VDO gauges, 1600 dual-port with 'quiet exhaust' set-up, alternator conversion, electric aux. fuel pump, off-road airbox, turning brakes, cd, am/fm, cass, and ipod port. Newer chrome wheels and tires, Fiberglass seats with weather resistant covers. The buggy seats four (it has a rear bench seat).
This is a true 'Manx'... not a copy. Verified by serial number and then certified by the Meyers Manx Club in California (The Manx company who built the kit is still around today, and parts are still available).
This is a true 'icon' car in american automotive history. It represents everything good about the 1960's. Serious inquires only. Cash buyers only. Price is firm, as the car is worth somewhere around $11,000.
