Just recently pulled a EJ22 (early phase 1) out of a donor converted VW Baja and put it into my Volksrod. The BAJA was driving the day before we pulled it.

I am only semi knowledgeable about electrical systems and I am getting better but most of the swap over was done by my buddy who originally rewired to a simple system off the VW stock fuse box.

Last night we tried to start for the first time and found basically the ECU is getting power to the relay for ignition and relay but it is not clicking over to kick on the fuel pump or anything.
13.5 volts to the ignition relay when key turned on. relay wired from d5 and ground d14. If we connect straight from battery to relay it switches on.

ANY help would be great. Spent all weekend hooking up an amazing set of systems for the fuel and cooling, I was really excited to get the car turned on and this is where we are at
He connected the ECU back by the battery and everything from their forward is the stock off the stock fuse box. Do not think there is another fuse in the system and finally put in diode back in off the previous car over with the ignition relay. The ECU is connected to the battery on I think D15. From the ignition/and fuel pump relay is the fuel pump positive going up to the fuel pump (external) up by the gas tank. The Tach wire goes to the front from the ECU area as does the check engine light.
