Topic Public / Dune Buggy Build Advice / steering colum rubber thing/spacer at exit of dash on buggy (5671 hits)
I have a straight steering colum that is about a 1970 that comes out of my dash. When it come out of the dash it just has a u clamp bolting and holding it to where it exits the dash. and i am sure there is a rubber part that goes around this to cushion it. A very little lose and i just want to tighten it up.
Anyone know what it is called? I was planning to buy a couple cheap things from JC Whitnney and wanted to order it if they have it. Any help would be appreciated and i can post a pic if needed Thanks

Here's what I think you need. It's a rubber grommet that fits inside the factory saddle clamp to hold the column. brad
Thanks Brad
I use "rubber feet" and cut the closed end off. Available at your local hardware store. You know like the ones on the end of crutches.
