We purchased another Dune Buggy last week and am selling the Teal Allison fixer upper i bought from Ken.
This Allison buggy has never been completed. It was started in about 1975 and got most of the way done and sat in a Barn till last year. Now needs to be taken apart cleaned painted electrical etc because it sat.
Gel coat has lots of little cracks in clear but I was told if could be sanded down with 800 or 1000 grit then re-paint strips then clear coat or could be sanded and painted. Be sure nice to save the gel coat.
It sits on a 66 shortened pan and this has surface rust but no holes and i think is all original metal which is nice.
Pan appears to have been done very well and does not look like it has been hacked. Have Title for this pan.
Buggy gas 1600 duel port engine that i was told ran well but never started
Needs work but the Allison is in my opinion one of the best fiberglass buggies out there!! the glass is very thick and there are very solid and buggies. Alliison did not skimp when they made these like the rest did.
Asking $3500.00 or best offer. Please note buggy gel coat looks better than it is and i can not get a good picture of the little cracks in paint

Still for sale. Should I be thinking of parting out? How much is a pan worth?
How much for the fiberglass body?
Any help appreciated

living one town over from Marblehead Mass in the 70's, (where Autodynamics Deserter's were born) I can say I had never seen the Allisons quality as much as I have been impressed with here. I would say this is the worst time of the year to (try to) sell a dune buggy. Maybe you were meant to keep it. I regret selling my Deserter GT to this very day. (and I sold it 31 years ago)

I agree with Funnybug, this is not the time of the year to be trying to sell your buggy. If financially you are able to hold off till spring then I see this girl selling fast. If not, you might have to settle for less $$$. Too bad your not closer to SW Ohio, my brother is starting to get the buggy fever.

I wish I closer because know you guys would give it a good home.
I am in no hurry to sell just do not need three of them. The two we are keeping are really nice.
If I do not sell soon for my price I am going to wrap her up for the winter and try again in the spring or maybe I will store my silver Allison at my work and start working on this one.
Thanks for the advice and remember if you guys in Ohio make it my way bring a trailer. We have a buggy for you!!

I always regret selling everything andi still miss my 1965 chevelle supersport.......yeah, sold it in the early 90's real dumb move........
I have one real nice Allison now and just got my wife a sharp yellow "something x file" dune buggy needing almost no work.
I do not plan to part with my Allison because I would miss that.
Room is just the issue. If it does not sell I will try again in spring or keep it only if I can find time to work on it. I do not want this to sit and get destroyed by sitting.
Are you still in mass or did you move on?
Thanks for the reply

I'm living just west of Akron Ohio right now. My family is mostly still in Mass. In fact I have to drive back this weekend. I would love to own this Allison. Unfortunately, I am recently unemployed (thank you o-bama) and my own unfinished project is in jeopardy.
