![]() The poll is in on the move to the Dune Buggy Archive with 8 for and 3 against. I've emailed with all three who voted against and they are each willing to give it a try on the DBA site. First and foremost - I have put a lot of effort in over the past couple of weeks to make this a smooth transition for everyone. I've done extensive testing to be able to push all messages posted to the new DBA Subbug Forum back to the Yahoo Subbug Group so if you can not switch over (or just decide not to), you can still be a "watcher" and read all the posts. Our plan is to start posting messages on the DBA Subbug Forum tonight. Each night all the posts will be digested into a single post on the Yahoo Subbug Group. The digest will have links for View and Reply that will take you right to that message on the DBA Subbug Forum. Our goal is that once the majority of people feel comfortable posting directly to the DBA Subbug Forum, we will change the Yahoo Subbug Group to only allow posting by moderators - effectively making it a read only site. We do not expect this for at least a month - maybe longer. Please if you have any questions or run into any problems, email me (empiimp@gmail.com) as soon as possible. I'll work with you to answer any questions and resolve issues that come up. The forum will be continued in this message board inside DBA: http://www.dunebuggyarchives.com/forum/topic_show.pl?tid=25 I'm working on moving our large archive (over 1500) of messages to the DBA site where they will be fully searchable and threaded. I also plan to move the Links, Files, Photos, and maybe even the Databases over to DBA at some point in the future. The DBA site also has a Buggy ID process for determining what type of buggy you have. If there is interest, we can create an Engine ID process to help people better understand what varieties of Subaru motors are available. You can create a web page for each of your own vehicles and engines (including build outs) using the DBA Wiki technology. Lastly, I'd like to start a Subbug engine registry (similar to the Dune Buggy Registry) so we can have an easier time finding members with similar engines to our own. Thanks for joining this group and I hope to see you in the Dune Buggy Archives! Paul...

EMPI Imp 1002 ('69)/Subaru EJ20 Turbo/LinkPlus ECU ![]() ![]() So the focus has really shifted to anyone installing a Subaru engine to a VW-style transaxle (ok - we've talked about using Subaru transmissions and differentials as well). So we're not picky. Rear engined or mid-engine, tub, rail, baja, Beetle, Thing, Type 3, Type 4, Ghia, kit car - your all welcome! (who'd I leave out?) If you have a vanagon - your best bet is to join the Yahoo Vanagon Group. Also - I'm sure a number of us don't have just one of these - I've got three tubs and a rail. Although the rest of the site is geared toward the fiberglass buggies, you'll see a new part of the site start to grow dedicated to transplanting subaru motors. Paul...

EMPI Imp 1002 ('69)/Subaru EJ20 Turbo/LinkPlus ECU ![]() You will see links for View and Reply at the bottom of each message. Clicking Reply is the easiest way to respond back to a message. I realize that your natural tendency may be to hit Reply from your email program, so if you try to reply to a Yahoo Subbug Group message, it will only be sent to me, not back out to the group as a whole. This is the only way I can think of to prevent future confusion on how replies are handled. Your more than welcome to continue to subscribe to the Yahoo Subbug group, especially if you just read the posts and do not plan on responding to them. Thanks and I hope your enjoying the new functionality that the DBA Forum provides, Paul...
