Its helpful to know how to hyperlink when you are on the forums. Hyper linking is a way of making a live link that others can click on to take them directly to the page you want them to go to. Its helpful to send the reader where you want them to go so they can see what you see.... and it's simple.

(I have a MAC computer so be aware these pictures will look differently for you on a PC, but the concept is the same).

If you have a web page you are looking at and want to comment about it, you can highlight the URL (Uniform Resource Locator). The URL is the web page address. It usually starts with www and has a .com in it plus a lot of other mumbo-jumbo on the end of it. The whole address will be needed... even the mumbo-jumbo part.

So when the URL is highlighted, You can "COPY" it. You can either use the mouse (right click to bring up menu then select "copy") or from the menu bar, select "edit" and under edit will be "copy".

So now that I copied the DBA main page, Now I can simply select paste into the text block like this: http://www.dunebuggyarchives.com/

When I hit post, it will automatically make it a hyper-link so that others can click on it and go to where I want you to go. In this case, The main page.

I clicked on "Preview" instead of post, so I could get a picture side by side of the text and the way the hyperlink is automatically added.

This comes in handy when referencing other threads, or other pictures etc.

I hope this is useful info for you.
