I'm going to try this again. I have a real emotional attachment to the buggy and have tried to sell it in the past. This time it seems the logical thing to do. It needs some TLC.  I'm in San Diego County so be ready to come here for it.

I have owned this since 1986 and am possibly only the second owner.  I found it in a yard in Lakeside. It has been sitting for 6 years and needs some work. The carb needs rebuilding and the battery replaced. But the engine is sound and runs like a champ. Quiet exhaust. 1600cc engine. Registration: non-oped. Does not have to be smogged.

If it was in perfect condition, I could get up to $6500 for this. But again it needs TLC.  STREET LEGAL. This will take you through the Anza Borrego State Desert Park where ATVs and motorcycles won't.

If I can't get what I want for this, I'll keep it. I've done my work on the internet and know how rare these are on the open market. Email me for more information:

looks like your craigs list posting has been flagged,  from the pic you attached, nice looking buggy.

While I appreciate the sentiments, the buggy will only bring what the market will bear. There are several Imps for sale right now and not one of them is moving as far as I can see and they are all under $5K. Craigslist isn't the best market to list a car to get it known globally; you could try listing it on Samba as well and as a last resort eBay.

I reposted.  Someone flagged in Recreational Vehicle.  I reposted in Cars and Trucks.

Rick....I appreciate your less-than-enthusiastic attempt to dump water on my sale, but I've already got some interest going.  Here in San Diego, desert season is in full swing and this is the time of year to sell it. Thanksgiving and New Year's is huge at the desert.  I'll get the right sale even if it takes a few months.  And Craigs List here in San Diego is the best place to put it.  I had it up for sale earlier this year and decided to pull it back.  I had three offers on it then and I'm working those deals too.  I'm in no hurry.  This will go for the right price.

I guess someone thinks this is not a recreational vehicle.  Not in the camping sense...but it sure is fun recreation and it's a vehicle!!!!

LOL " YOU GO GIRL " Its all in the eye of the beholder, Im sure Rick didnt mean bad, I have a shriners Allison I went on a 13 hour each way trip to get because that is what I allways wanted !!! You have had it a long time and I sure you feel like it is family, Most the time on Samba I just look to the right side of the page at what state its in before I even look at the picture, not many will drve across country or pay to ship that far away, craigslist is fine and its free !!!! Its paid for and not eating anything so take your time and see what happens, As I allways say you can go down on the price but not up, Good Luck,    Ken..........................

I'm not dumping water, Robin. I'm glad you have offers on it, but they're not what your asking are they? You might find the right buyer eventually, but most of us can't hang onto a vehicle hoping that someone will come along and offer us full price.
