This is my sand rail that has a fiberglass kit from an unknown origin. Can you guys help me out?

I think it is a late 60's/early 70's Funco. They are still in business.

that is one sexi sandrail! i do glass buggys but ive looked at a few rails, and thats one i would own. i like havin a body

i own that buggy now.  her name is brandi.  can some one give me some background on it.

By the photos, the buggy could be a Funco Bandito or it could be a HiJumper Ascot or a Hobrecht Panzer. It has differences from each of the 3 brands which may have been modifications done by a PO.

There are 2 places on the car to check, both of which are visible in the photos, but not clear enough to tell.

- The front beam clamps are cast. Check for lettering cast in the front face.


- Inside the left fiberglass side panel is a label or card, maybe set in the resin. It's visible in the interior view. That may tell who made them.


Nice car though. I have a HiJumper.
