What's wrong with the frame?

I noticed that greenmeanie has not responded in a few days, and I do not want to put words in his mouth, but I can tell you that the chassis is straight (never crashed) and dimensionally accurate. The bottom rails are crunchy (pin holes) and could either be replaced or used as a template for a whole new chassis, which is what I did with it, and Mike Rags did with this before it landed here.

A fresh, solid chassis eliminates a lot of guess work and provides a solid base.  This is not a bolt together kit, but it's not impossible.  With less than $100 in steel tubing, a $150 abrasive cut-off saw and a 120vac mig, I built a very solid chassis that I do not have to worry about.

Someone please buy this and put another GS back on the road.

Wish I had the cash to do just that. I've got to get back to work and cut my month and a half vacation off :-)

Plus... I need to buy a house so I can work on the ManxVair and have the room for a few more toys like this. I'm afraid someone else will have to save this one.

Bob, thanks for clarifying my question. I LOVE metal fabrication and would love to build a frame based on the frame he's got there. I really would! Its not meant to be for me.

Thank goodness. I hope she's resurrected! Is she staying in CT green meanie? Just curious. Hopefully, the new owner will take pictures and post op here for us all to see.
