You will now have one turbo (smaller) driven by one side of the engine and the second turbo (larger) driven by the other side of the engine. And with no wastegate on the larger. This is a very unbalanced setup and will give you worse performance than you had before.

Remove the secondary turbo exhaust valve so atleast both turbos are being fed all the time. Remove the solenoid on the intercooler valve so that both turbos blow into the intercooler all the time.

Now you need to balance the engine by having both turbos the same spec. I would find another primary turbo and fit it on the other side so you run 2 primary turbos. These are both wastegated so atleast you have some boost control. Given that you now have only 2 cylinders driving each primary turbo you essentially have half the exhaust volume driving each turbo compared to before. It would be worth looking at the compressor maps of the various VF turbos to see what CFM air flow they need to get up and running in their sweet spot. Then work out what cfm your engine produces (or half engine) at different revs and see if it's enough to drive it.

There are a few different combos of twin turbos on the ej20tt (vf 13 & 14, vf 18 & 19 I believe). I would start with 2 x vf 13/s and see how you go.

Will it throw error codes? Don't know. Unlikely.

You say both turbo's are the same...They might look the same but check the numbers. My experience has been they are different and if you want to run both turbo's at the same time then match them.

Sounds like you have the same set-up I have... My computer has a switch box so I can switch between 4 different programs..

By the way..I run both turbo's at the same time..I copied my 300ZX turbo set-up and it works like a charm and because of the RPM's I'm running I don't experience any turbo lag.
