I haven't run them yet, but I do have a set of Platinums ready. My engine is about 6-8 months out before being ready to run (more chassis work before it can be re-installed and fired up for first time). At first I cheaped out, bought some NGK BKR6E plugs to install. These have the regular large tips. Figured I'd run them to get it started and initial tuning (where extra richness might trash a new set of plugs). Later on I was reading about recommendations on NASIOC and it was platinum all the way. I ponied up for a set of NGK PFR6G plugs to go in once the initial run in is done. I see Rock Auto has lots of other platinum (and Iridium) plugs to choose from now, I think mine must be getting discontinued. The other platinums look to be quite a bit less expensive than mine were - about $10/plug. Only thing I know is the type and brand of plug you run can have a huge impact on how your engine runs. I'd say get the best plugs you can afford. Jeff

I found that I had them in my JDM 2 lt 4 cam engine, when I pulled a plug and looked at it I thought it had a very burnt tip I had never seen one before When I replace them I them found out they are $24 each # NGK BKR6EVX
was your 2.oltr a turbo engine?I am trying to figure out what plug #to run in a twin turbo!!I am leaning towards denso plugs they seem to have the highest rating!

Mine's a JDM single turbo model. Jeff

The engine is non turbo
