September 8th is a Car Show/cruise night in Elwood at their Elwood Days Festival.

There is a club participation award at this show, too!

September 9th is the last Morris Cruise Night of the season

September 17th is a car show at J.C. Whitneys in Utica, Illinois

October 14th is the Chrome Czars "Hunnert Car Pileup" in Morris at the Grundy County fairgrounds. It's not a buggy event but it is a must see car show to attend and "The Midwests Greasiest Hot Rod Show". http://www.hunnertcarpileup.com/main.php

we should try for the club award in Elwood.  I think that would mean something for our
club.  I'm definitely in if everyone else wants to go.   I'll send out an e-mail later today.

Any bites on the Elwood days or Morris?

I sent an e-mail to everyone about elwood.  I'll see soon what
everyone plans.  I'd like to go to both.  I put another 30 miles
on my car today, so I feel pretty confident about driving it.

I was told today that the Elwood show is not recommended. To many kids pawing the cars with no supervision and alot of drunken carnival goers stumbling around the show area.
I think I might take a detour to the cruise night in New Lenox at Del-Ray Tire.
What do ya think? Will the Bradley make it to New Lenox?

Well that's fine.  It doesn't seem like i'd make it anyway.  I drove my car to work this morning, but it didn't make it home under it's own power.  I had to trailer it.  It drove fine when I went to the parts store, but on my way back to work it was cutting out, and wouldn't idle, then wouldn't start.  I've narrowed it down to an ignition problem.  I believe it to be the coil.  I think that its not making enough voltage when it gets warm.  Because when I got it home today, I started it up to pull in to the garage, and I ran fine, idled ok, no problems.  So I have an electronic distributor with a flamethrower coil that i'm going to put in tomorrow/friday.  I still plan on going to Morris on saturday, so hopefully all goes well.

Any news from Mr. Andy?

yeah, he had to re-adjust the clutch cable tube, and the cable itself, which took a lot of the
chatter out and easier to get into first gear, but he still has to change out the tranny mount.
I guess he has a urethane mount to use.  He also said the car is running ok.  Unfortunately
he's leaving tomorrow for two days again to go to Michigan.  We'll see if we
can get him out to Morris too.  Speaking of which, I'd like to meet somewhere in town, like the Jewel so we can drive in togeather and park togeather.

I will probably be taking the 33 to Morris and I will be meeting up with the street rod guys in at the White Hen in Minooka at 3:30 which means we will be driving from RT6 to the show down RT47 just before 4:00. If you can find a location to get inline with us it would be great. I hate to screw up the hotrod guys by making them stop, since they invited me to ride with them.
