Hello fellow Dune Buggy Detectives.
I have some pics here of my buddy's buggy body that seems to be made by Caskey Fiberglass Products. http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/album_page.php?pic_id=294917 http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/album_page.php?pic_id=294918 http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/album_page.php?pic_id=294919 http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/album_page.php?pic_id=294920 Has anyone ever heard of this company? Any input or comments are welcome. We (LoCashRacing.Org) will be doing a lot of fab work for this car. We have already shortened a '55 chassis (don't cringe, the oval body was long gone and the chassis was going o return to the earth one rust flake at a time) and added diamond plate floors. It's also been converted to right hand drive with genuine VW RHD pedal assembly and other bits. I've raised the trans 1 inch (street buggy) and we'll soon be building a full roll cage and a turbo system for a 2.0+ Type IV motor. Larry, the owner has a set of 10 inch Centerlines for the back and 5 inch center lines for the front. We'll be working on this car and my wife's buggy (her first VW project) at the same time. I'll be sure to post lots of pics. Sorry to ramble on. Bottom line: Who was Caskey Fiberglass Products?
