Topic Public / Dune Buggy ID Help needed - X-Files / Sandpiper Pickup: Dutch's X-File buggy - solved (6789 hits)
![]() I've moved the registry entry into the Kellison Registry. I'll try to add this buggy to the id process next (since we have pictures now!). Dutch, can you confirm that the hood and body are one piece - it looks like it from the pictures. Here's the ID page for the Sandpiper Pickup. So is it Sand Piper, SandPiper or Sandpiper??? I've seen it all three ways and more... Thanks, Paul...

Yes the hood and body are one piece!!
Should I try to keep this thing with its original parts? or is this something I have no chance in retaining any value, and just personalize the buggy to me? I am new getting into this whole Buggy thing, and want as much info as any body can tell me!
![]() Now if you had picked up something like a Yenko Camaro, Shelby Mustang, Plymouth Superbird, etc...then you'd keep it stock to retain its value.

My buggy, plus all I have seen are shortend frame. But was also made for full frame, which I believe this is. Thanks to Genome's great scan of paperwork, that was actually able to read, unlike most scans.
