Hey, Your right. They are my instructions, I have gone through them a million times and never noticed that. Anyway, below is a shot of my Imp. The pods are screwed to the body along the edge. There is a rubber insert that hides the seam and screws. The lower portion has about four brackets that mount to the body bolts that the pod gets screwed to. I will take some photos of the parts and post them this week. When I reinstall them in a few weeks I will do a "How to" as well.

Jon at vwjava.com sells it. That's where I got mine. He is in England though. You could use carpet to tile transition from Home Depot for about $5.00 a side but it is plastic not rubber. I have been trying to source it in rubber here but I have not had any break through's. However, I do have a few leads.

Thanks Paul for the side pods, I won't be putting mine on until winter.
I look forward to seeing how the guys mount them.
I have trim on my buggy that might be what you are looking for.
It is a U shape that fits on the edge of the fiberglass.
They have two kinds an all black and the one I have with a chrome strip.
It fits tight on the fiberglass and it is easy to make very tight bends.
It is really great stuff and holds up very well mine is about 5 years old and still looks new.
I just talked to Al at Don's Sport Vehicle hear in Michigan and they still sell it.
$1.50 a foot for black and $1.90 for chrome, I don't see it on the web site Al said to call if you want it, tell him you want one continuous piece if you want run it all the way around your buggy like I did.

Here is the correct trim for the pods. Note the grove in the upper lip. It is to allow relief for the screw heads
Here is the lower hardware. They go between the body and pan.

Hey Dale - Looks like they fit pretty nice. Any updates? Did you get the trim from Java Products? Paul...
