I found this in a barn today, it's pretty rough, it's on a shortned VW chassis, has a 1600DP in it. Anybody have an idea what it is. Sorry, I didn't get a pic of the rear, I'll have to go back later this week and look it over better.

Yea Ron, I never paid much attention to this stuff until a couple months ago when I found my first Manx II, seems like now I can smell the things, never could before. I know where there are a couple more hiding out, one I think is another Manx...stay tuned....

Hi Coop - That looks like a new X-File to me.  There are not a lot of one piece bodies.  It has a lot of unique features to it.  We will set you up with an X-File number.

Thanks,
Paul...

Ok, It's mine now, not sure if I'm keeping it, (kinda ugly, IMO), but I'd like to know what it is before I pass it on...

Hey coop, We're putting together your X file. Now that you have this gem, can you get a 3/4 shot so we can have a "body" image?

Sweet. That would be great. Have you decided if you are going to keep this one?

Coop, found this one... Looks  a little different in the sides though. Looks like the same headlight feature.

Coop,
Thats an easy one.
It's called a Super Shark. Turchan Industries.
It was made by a company in Ontario Canada. They were distributors of several popular bodies for the region.
The Bandido, the Clam Digger, the Sand Shark, and the Super Shark.
He is the full page ad I have on file.
Congrats on having the complete addiction to Fiberglass.

Jay and John...Looks like you've  ID'd this one, Thanks guys. Now that I know that that funky headlight arrangement is original, maybe I'll put that in my "waiting to be done" project pile and put it back together someday.

John....I've had this "complete addiction to Fiberglass" before, but still haven't found a cure,(except to get another one, and another, etc..)...

Coop, Nice vette...

The Super Shark is in my opinion the ONLY buggy that should run Square headlights..
Kinda different. Would look killer slammed low I think.

Very cool, I have been searching for information about the Super Shark, I picked one up about 3 years ago, have done a tonne of work on it, except for paint.  This one has been modified, in that it has been turned into a 3 piece body so that it could have a hood, which is way cool because I can access the area where the lights are installed, and also to fuel the buggy, no hole for the gas cap!  You will notice I did install square headlights...

Gerry,
I'd love to add your Super Shark to our photo area. If you have more pictures can you please email them to jay@northeastreia.com ? I'll be sure to add whatever you are able to email.

Thanks,
Jay
