After 2 days and 40 miles of road time, I have to say that driving the Bradley is one of the most
amazing driving experiences I've had.  Though the bradley is built on the same basic platform as
a dune buggy, the purpose it serves is completely different.  This particular combination of fiberglass
and running gear shows that the old beetle can definitely be turned into an amazing road car.  Being
lucky enough to live within some of the best and diverse backroads "cruising" spots I felt as If I was
in a pricey european sports car within the English countryside.  Peering over the meaty front fenders
combined with the sweet sound of the flat four and the hunkered down seating position, puts you in a
place that you don't want to come back from...not any time soon!

Just think of how it would be with smoked lezan doors to peer through as your go on your tour of the out back!  I have to get mine on the road asap to experience your excitment.

My seats are bolted directly to the floor, and my head still comes close to sticking out the top.
You've gotta feel very closed in with doors.

Has the Bradley made a trip to Tinley Park yet? Just wondering if Andy test drove the buggy yet?

No, I haven't made it that far yet.  Still keeping it close to home incase I have
to work any more kinks out. 

Yes, my dad and I took the buggy out today.  It was
an interresting ride.  First, remember we had all that tranny chatter?  Well, come
to find out the front mount is really really loose. Couldn't even start off in 1st gear.
All the shaking moved the tin slightly, but enough to cause the linkage to bind again,
and Though under acceleration and at idle the engine ran fine, during partial throttle
it did pop quite a bit. 

What kind of clutch and pressure plate are you running?

my bradley has the seat tracks bolted directly to the floor and I will probably have the same head problem and the feeling of being in a coffin with a smoked lid?  I have to move the seats back before I can drive due to my knee hittng the dash making it hard to work the pedals.  This was one reason the thought of the lift kit would give me both leg and head clearane.  I do not know if I will feel comfortable enough to run with the doors in place?  I will know soon. I am really close to getting it on the road again.

I had to move mine back too.  I think nearly 2 inches.  I thought about the pedals too, but it actually
allows me to sit a little lower in the car.  I've seen pictures of bradley's that have full sized seats in them,
and I don't know how people fit under the roof.  Must be a lot of short Bradley owners out there.
