The family tree from Dune buggy Enterprises started in 1968 with the production of the "Road Runner" buggy.
A certain cartoon charachter... meep meep... forced them to change the name to "Dune Runner".
They offered several different hoods and even a truck style body.
One of the hoods they designed was called the Mini Mercedees.

This is a Dune Runner Body with a Mini Mercedes hood sold by Dune Buggy Enterprises in probably 1969 or 1970.
The Road Runner had little dash badges with a Road Runner on them.

The Mini Mercedes and Roadrunner do look the same, however the Road Runner is a full length body.
