I heard some other Buggistas made it to the NIVA show yesterday in St. Charles on North Ave.  I had no idea a show was going on until I got caught in the rain on the way to Menards and ducked into a gas station to keep dry.  I parked next to a jet black bus that had just come from the show.

I took a quick swing through the show after hitting Menards, but didn't recognize any vehicles. Who was at the show?

I didn't even know about it. I wouldn't have went anyway, too far in too much traffic. I was crawling around a junkyard looking at Subis.

That was yesterday?  I knew it was comming up, but didn't realize it was this soon.  Like Jerry, I wouldn't have gone either.  It wasn't so bad when it was in Naperville, though I think Jerry would argue otherwise

I am curious to know who did go.

  I decided to go at 4:00am on Sunday. Figured I'd try to sell the bus there. It was pouring that morning so I'm sure no buggys would have gone anyway. Once I got there Steve walked up to me and said "Now I know who my friends are!!" Anyway it was pretty nice till about 1:00 when it started to rain again. By then I was tired and hungry so I bailed. Steve stopped by later that evening and produced a 3rd place plaque. I started to congratulate him when he stopped me and said "It's yours!" Then he pulled out his 1st place trophy!!  Awesome.

Try to sell the bus???  Why?

If you would have come to the meeting you would know.

Julie was at the meeting and she didn't even know about it...
Or was it priveliged information for those of us that came to the meeting and stayed? 

Julie must have been too busy running the meeting And she did a swell job while taking care of 2 kids.

OK, I'll spill the beans.

Dave bought a "Barn find" 71 Westy. 80,000 miles, very very minimal rust, needs a bit of canvas and weatherstripping, not to mention a good cleaning. To top it off..........He drove it home.

I didn't take any pics when I was at Daves. Maybe he will post some.
