I just came across this while looking at Ohio show dates.
Cruisefest....Elite Customs built a "street" dune buggy.
It's a Lido with opening doors 22" wheels and 20" subs....

Takes all kinds. Try to stop that sucker with stock drums. Or hear.

The wheels are too big! & it needs a windshield, besides that, I like it.

It looks like they spent 20K on the body and $20 for the undercarriage and under hood combined.  Maybe the picture just doesn't show it very well.

I would bet the stereo sounds like crap at 60 mph. I think the wind in the speakers is going to cause a tremendous amout of distortion.

I dont think ti would go 60.
It's a "Donk" you can't steer it at 60.
They are for low speed rollin only.

Donks are a type of highly customized automobile, and typically an inexpensive American-built sedan modified by significantly increasing the ground clearance and adding large-diameter wheels with low-profile tires. Depending on the model and build year, autos customized in this manner can be labeled "donk," "box," or "bubble."

Hi-risers originally grew out of the Dirty South drug, pimp and hip hop subculture but the trend has spread across the United States. Dang... I was gonna post 4 pictures of paint jobs I'm considering on painting my 300ZX for members to vote on, but I don't want to be considered a "donk". But then my ride goes faster than 60 so maybe that helps. I've been saved by the knowledge here from becoming a "donk". I love it.....
