Why isn't the  "url" button working on that webaddress above?

Hi McGyver - I figured out how to get urls to work in the forum.

You had put in:
[url=]www.thenormanrockwellcode.com[/url]

You should have put in:
The Norman Rockwell Code

The url goes after the equal sign and the "name" you want to give the link (what gets displayed) goes between the two tags. I've added a space after the first bracket so the forum software will not interpret what you see below:

[ url=http://www.thenormanrockwellcode.com]The Norman Rockwell Code[/url]

You can also just put the url in (without the tags) and it will turn into a link.

So, Paul, whenever I post a url should I <click> the "url" button and let it insert the code or not? Does the action of the "url" button need to be changed?

If the url you want to put in is long (wider than the box you enter messages into), then click the "url" button and paste the URL after the equal sign - then put a nice name for the link between the tags. 

If its a short url, just paste it in.

I have not see many bad url lines. If I catch them, I'll just edit the message to fix it.  The more mods I make to the forum software (have some so your DBA account ties to the forum user account already), the harder it is to upgrade the forum software each time.
