I have a 1965 buggy that I need help to identify the body type. it does have the raised shield on the front end. it has a preformed battery box under back seat.. I located the area where the I'd plate should have been, holes vut no plate.help anyone... please. VIN 115070491

Hello John e, Think that you might need to post some more pictures. good ones of the rear of the buggy, the Dash of the buggy, a good side profile of it and of the fender styles front and back. There is a knowledgeable member who is on here occasionally who might have an Idea. Those extra pictures will help to maybe pick out some similar ones in the buggy ID section.

Looks real close to what he has.
I agree. Vaughn Fabrications Sand Tiger. Same shield location, sides drop down low the same, box over the engine indented the same way, dash matches.
Only thing that doesn't match are the headlight mounts. Sand Tiger has fender pedestals. The OPs are mounted to the hood. Hunter Fiberglass also had a buggy named Sand Tiger. Looks nothing like this.
