I'm 6' 7" tall and have a solid 36" inseam and recently sat in the drivers seat of a lido buggy with a shortened pan. It was way to cramped. My question is, has anybody ever taken a four seater buggy with the full length pan and eliminated the back seats and moved the front seats all the way back. If so how much room did you gain. Also has anybody solved this problem in some other way?
Thanks, Timmo
This can be easily done, especially if you replace the perimeter with steel tube and the floor with a flat floor. Add in a body lift and a full length chassis will give you plenty of room. Plus you can add in a nice tilt wheel and get the wheel moved away from the dash to give you more legroom.
Lido has an 80" wheelbase. Stock pan is 94.5 inches long. So with a full length body you get an extra 14.5 inches in which to put your seat. Don't forget seat height. As Jeffery P states a body lift may be essential. Choose your seats wisely.
