Hi , welcome! Yes Scat Kat is one we have lots of examples on file but zero information on other than the emblem and Durham NC. What can you tell or share about this body manufacturer

My father manufactured about 240 Skat-Kat bodies (That I have record of) between 1968-70. The front end hog nose is unique. He also made a rounded front end. All bodies featured the Continental style motor cover. Another unique feature were the side storage compartments. He was a boat dealer so that's where that idea came from. Long wheel base measures 7'11'' with overall length of 11'6''. Short based bodies are 6'9'', overall 10'4''. There's also the "Explorer" truck body, front end slants down with a license plate size flat as opposed to the hog nose. The brochure tag line was  "Make Your GET AWAY in A Skat-Kat". Sadly Dad sold the one buggy he had and I searched high and low for years to find one. He died Christmas Day 2015 and the next spring I started finding them. I now own four running buggies, one truck and one body. There's much more I could tell you but figure I've already pushed the limit here! I am especially interested in hearing about any Skat-Kats out there and their stories. I also have brochures, patches, signs and photos. Thanks for your interest!

I have really enjoyed the Skat-Kat info here and on FB that you have provided. You have pretty much answered all of the basic questions I had about the Skat-Kat already. I hope to have mine in the road very soon. Maybe get the chance to meet you at Manx On The Banx.

Thanks,
Calvin
